President - John J. Garvey's work spans the full range of the professional communications spectrum from production of creative, online and offline marketing strategies to political and corporate issues management. He has over 20 years of experience in public relations, marketing planning, and media buying. To the editor of BusinessWest he is simply known as "a big pain in the ass" and, in fact, was given an award for it. A graduate of Marquette University and American International College where he earned a M.S. degree in Organizational Development, John also received a Certificate of Negotiation Training at Harvard University Law School's Program on Negotiation. He is an experienced strategic planner and Future Search Conference facilitator having studied under the internationally recognized organizational development consultant Marvin Weisbord, the founder of the Future Search strategic planning conference model. John also completed mediation training at the University of Massachusetts and received a Certificate of Negotiation Training at Harvard University Law School's Program on Negotiation. He is a member of The Valley Press Club, The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), The World Affairs Council of Western Massachusetts, and is a board member of the Springfield Chamber of Commerce. It is with great adulation and respect for his vast experience, that he is adoringly referred to as "The Q-Tip" by his peers at GCAI. |

Media Director - Mary K. Fallon stands firmly atop the ridgeline of public relations, media buying, and social media. Based on her perch, she provides GCAI clients with perspectives and actionable strategies to engage their customers while navigating through the shoals of a rapidly changing media landscape. A veteran Facebook user, she is also adept in applying Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn (to name a few) for PR and marketing purposes. Amongst vendors and clients, Mary is known for her speed, analysis, and infallible friendly demeanor. A day in her GCAI life would include managing social media strategies (while being absolutely respectful of the values inherent in that space), analyzing online and traditional media buys, and implementing PR efforts. Mary is a graduate of the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing. She is a member of The Valley Press Club and The Public Relations Society of America. Mary also serves on the board of directors for The Advertising Club of Western Massachusetts. She is officially the Queen of the GCAI "Little People" community, although with her advancing age, her tenure in that position is precarious at best. |

Social Media Assistant - Although Amanda L. Gauthier sometimes operates under the social media radar screen, Twitterers, Facebook enthusiasts, and small businesses looking to increase their sales recognize her digital footprint. Amanda is the author of GCAI's weekly Social Media Bark, is the personality behind @GarveyComm on Twitter, and manages social media platforms for a variety of clients. She is also experienced in the optimization of LinkedIn and Facebook including the creation of personal profiles and company or fan pages on those sites. Amanda has presented at Online Impact 2010 and at other professional seminars in the area. She is an associate member of The Public Relations Society of America, a member of The Advertising Club of Western Massachusetts, and is a student at Holyoke Community College. Amanda is also an active volunteer who regularly uses her social media talents to organize assistance to help Springfield area homeless. She also presented at Media and Marketing for Middle School at Zanetti Montessori School in Springfield. An official member of the "Little People" community, her experience can be best expressed in dog years rather than by the Roman calendar. |

| Marketing Assistant - The Energizer Bunny looks positively slow in comparison to Gregg “New Guy” Tobin. As Marketing Assistant, Gregg is a boundary spanner at GCAI, frequently hopping (bunny pun intended) between GCAI functions, clients, and strategies. His daily duties reflect a blizzard of activity including assisting marketing and PR planning and implementation, supporting social media planning, management and content development, as well as optimizing LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook platforms.
Gregg is a graduate of Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications, and with a semester of Law School at George Washington University School of Law, Gregg also heads up the GCAI legal department where he follows the Jerky Boys pronouncement of “Sue Everybody!” Although he is not necessarily aware of it or a card carrying member, he is officially a member of the “Little People” community. |
