BusinessWest and Boston Business Journal Recognize PeoplesBank

October '08: As highlighted in BusinessWest this month, GCAI client PeoplesBank has posted some strong growth numbers in recent years - building new branches, assets increasing close to $1.5 billion, financing $14 million in renewable energy projects in just 6 months, and investing in the civic and charitable organizations that enhance the quality of live for residents of Western Massachusetts. The latter accomplishment was recently lauded by the Boston Business Journal, which named the Bank a top corporate charitable contributor. PeoplesBank was ranked number 52 out of over 70 institutions and joined MassMutual Financial Group and Friendly Ice Cream Corporation as the only companies to be named from Western Massachusetts. The Boston Business Journal also ranked PeoplesBank one of the top ten community banks in the Commonwealth and the largest in this region.
