Social Media This Week(10/20/09): Qtips like it, Facebook Face Time, Twitter 5 Billionth and more.

• More than four in five US adults online use social media at least once a month. In the same poll they also pointed out that the most rapid growth has occurred among consumers 35 and older.



• The average person now spends 5 hours and 46 minutes per month on Facebook! This is up from 1 hour and 40 minutes in August of 2008.



• Mashable announced that Twitter hit its 5 billionth tweet this week. They continue to explain that it means 3.4 billion tweets have been posted in the last 6 months.



• For those of you with Facebook Fan Pages, you can now get your custom URL with just 25 fans instead of 100.
