Social Media This Week (11/24/09): LinkedIn US Users, "What's Happening?", Connecting Twitter and LinkedIn, Good or Bad?

A recent poll by SmartPulse asked the question “Do you think the integration of Twitter with LinkedIn is a good idea?”. It resulted in the following responses:
• 38.56% said it was not a good fit.
• 22.11% said it remains to be seen whether it’s a good idea or not.
• 21.08% said it is a good fit.
• 12.08% said it was an oil/water mix.
• 6.17% said it is a peanut butter/chocolate mix.

Twitter has decided to change its prompt question from “What are you doing?” to “What’s happening?”. We think it’s a better fit - but no one really answers the prompt question anyways.

According to comScore LinkedIn’s U.S. audience in October more than doubled to 20 million from 9 million the month before. Which is all the more reason to get yourself, and your business, on there!
