Social Media This Week (12/29/09): Facebook Status Updates, Attorneys on Facebook, New URL Shortener

According to Inside Facebook, 35 million users update their status every day.(About 10% of all Facebook users.)

In a survey conducted by the American Bar Association earlier this year, more than 10% of law firms in the country are on Facebook. Also, more than 40% of attorneys have a personal profile.

Facebook has started testing their own URL shortener “fb.me”. For example, http://fb.me/GarveyCommunication will take you to our fan page.
