Social Media This Week (1/5/10): Marketing Tactics on Facebook and Facebook Users - How Old Are They?

According to data from InsideFacebook.com, 40% of Facebook users are under the age of 25, 60% are 26 or older, and nearly 20% are 45 or older.

According to a MarketingProfs survey done in September, the most common marketing tactic used on Facebook was attempting to drive traffic to corporate materials through status updates, followed by friending customers. However, the most effective tactic was creating a Facebook application - which was done by less than 1/4 of respondents.
