This Week in Social Media (3/2/10): Daily Number of Tweets, Socializing on Your Mobile Phone, and Small Businesses Using on Social Networking Sites

Daily Number of Tweets: In a recent blog post from Twitter.com they announced that they are now seeing 50 million tweets per day. That’s an average of 600 tweets per second!

Socializing on Your Mobile Phone: A new survey done by Ruder Finn, showed that 91% of mobile phone users go online to socialize. Of those users, 45% post comments on social networking sites.

Small Businesses on Social Networking Sites: According to survey by Network Solutions, 75% of small businesses surveyed have a company page on a social networking site. Also, 61% use social media for identifying and attracting new customers.
